CSIR–CBRI, Roorkee Organizes Training Program on COMSOL Multiphysics Software under CSIR Integrated Skill Initiative
Roorkee, November 6, 2025:

The CSIR–Central Building Research Institute (CBRI), Roorkee, organized a one-day training program on COMSOL Multiphysics software on 6th October 2025 under the CSIR Integrated Skill Initiative Program. The workshop aimed to strengthen the participants’ understanding of multiphysics modeling and computational simulation, bridging scientific theory with practical applications.
COMSOL Multiphysics is a general-purpose simulation software widely used for modelling, design, and analysis in engineering, scientific research, education, and industry. Around 40 students from various universities participated in the program and received hands-on training in computational modeling using the COMSOL environment.
The technical sessions were conducted by the COMSOL Multiphysics India Pvt. Ltd. team — Ms. Kritika Raje (Applications Engineer), Mr. Sharjed (Senior Applications Engineer), and Mr. Himanshu Agrawal (Technical Sales Engineer) — who demonstrated the software’s key features and guided the participants through interactive simulation exercises.
The program was coordinated by Dr. Tabish Alam, Senior Scientist, CSIR–CBRI. During the inaugural session, Dr. Neeraj Jain, Head, ODS, outlined the objectives of the CSIR Integrated Skill Initiative, emphasizing the importance of enhancing technical capabilities through hands-on learning. Prof. R. Pradeep Kumar, Director, CSIR–CBRI, encouraged participants to adopt modern simulation tools like COMSOL to support innovation, design optimization, and research-oriented learning.
The program concluded with an interactive discussion and highly positive feedback from the participants, reflecting CSIR–CBRI’s ongoing commitment to promoting technical excellence, capacity building, and advanced skill development through the CSIR Integrated Skill Initiative Program.
The training was effectively coordinated with the cooperation of the COMSOL Team, and dedicated support from CBRI staff members — Rashi, Iqra, Rajat, Amzad, Sanskriti, Mahesh, Anuj, Vikas, and Ajay, whose efforts ensured the successful execution of the event.

सीएसआईआर–सेंट्रल बिल्डिंग रिसर्च इंस्टिट्यूट (सीबीआरआई), रुड़की द्वारा सीएसआईआर इंटीग्रेटेड स्किल इनिशिएटिव कार्यक्रम के अंतर्गत कॉम्सोल मल्टीफिजिक्स सॉफ्टवेयर पर एक दिवसीय प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम का आयोजन 6 अक्टूबर 2025 को किया गया। इस प्रशिक्षण का उद्देश्य प्रतिभागियों की मल्टीफिजिक्स मॉडलिंग एवं सिमुलेशन तकनीक की समझ को सुदृढ़ करना तथा वैज्ञानिक सिद्धांतों और व्यावहारिक प्रयोगों के बीच सेतु बनाना था।
कॉम्सोल मल्टीफिजिक्स एक जनरल-पर्पज़ सिमुलेशन सॉफ्टवेयर है, जिसका उपयोग इंजीनियरिंग, वैज्ञानिक अनुसंधान, शिक्षा एवं औद्योगिक क्षेत्रों में डिजाइन, मॉडलिंग और विश्लेषण के लिए व्यापक रूप से किया जाता है। इस कार्यक्रम में विभिन्न विश्वविद्यालयों के लगभग 40 छात्रों ने भाग लिया और कॉम्सोल सॉफ्टवेयर पर व्यावहारिक प्रशिक्षण प्राप्त किया।
तकनीकी सत्रों का संचालन कॉम्सोल मल्टीफिजिक्स इंडिया प्रा. लि. की टीम — सुश्री कृतिका राजे (एप्लिकेशन इंजीनियर), श्री शारजेद (सीनियर एप्लिकेशन इंजीनियर) एवं श्री हिमांशु अग्रवाल (टेक्निकल सेल्स इंजीनियर) द्वारा किया गया। उन्होंने सॉफ्टवेयर की प्रमुख विशेषताओं का प्रदर्शन किया और प्रतिभागियों को प्रायोगिक सिमुलेशन अभ्यासों के माध्यम से मार्गदर्शन प्रदान किया।
इस कार्यक्रम का समन्वयन डॉ. ताबिश आलम, वरिष्ठ वैज्ञानिक, सीएसआईआर–सीबीआरआई द्वारा किया गया। उद्घाटन सत्र के दौरान डॉ. नीरज जैन, हेड, ओडीएस, ने सीएसआईआर इंटीग्रेटेड स्किल इनिशिएटिव के उद्देश्यों पर प्रकाश डालते हुए कहा कि इस प्रकार के प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम तकनीकी कौशल को व्यावहारिक रूप में निखारने का एक उत्कृष्ट माध्यम हैं। सीएसआईआर–सीबीआरआई के निदेशक प्रो. आर. प्रदीप कुमार ने प्रतिभागियों को कॉम्सोल जैसे आधुनिक सिमुलेशन टूल्स को अपनाने हेतु प्रेरित किया, जिससे वे नवाचार, डिजाइन अनुकूलन और अनुसंधान-आधारित अधिगम को प्रोत्साहित कर सकें।
कार्यक्रम का समापन एक संवादात्मक सत्र एवं प्रतिभागियों की सकारात्मक प्रतिक्रियाओं के साथ हुआ, जिसने सीएसआईआर–सीबीआरआई की तकनीकी उत्कृष्टता, क्षमता निर्माण और उन्नत कौशल विकास के प्रति निरंतर प्रतिबद्धता को पुनः स्थापित किया।
प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम का सफल संचालन कॉम्सोल टीम के सहयोग एवं सीबीआरआई के कर्मचारियों — राशी, इक़रा, रजत, अमज़द, संस्कृति, महेश, अनुज, विकास एवं अजय — के समर्पित योगदान से संभव हो पाया, जिनके प्रयासों से कार्यक्रम का प्रभावी एवं सुचारु आयोजन सुनिश्चित हुआ।
